Life....

We have been very busy lately. We are putting a 2nd bathroom in upstairs, so we have been displaced alot during the process. Spending alot of time at Gramma Pat's, Aunty Meg's and out and about has been our way of life lately. Cassidy is getting bigger every day. Her sign language skills are beginning to show through. She can sign: more, all done and eat, and she does them all at the right time (so they mean the right thing). We are still working on thank you and I am going to start please and drink now that I feel we have made some progress. Her hair is getting long enough for a pony tail on the top of her head (I thought we would never make it!). She is so much fun to be around now. You can see she is showing her first eye bump from a trip into a kitchen chair but all in all she is doing extremely well.

We took time out from snuggling with POOH to get this picture. It was close to bedtime and we were on the couch watching BLUE'S CLUES.









Aunty Meg's neice from the Case side came to play\visit while we were at Meg's house on Wednesday. Gabrielle is 6 months older than Cass, but will be a good playmate for her as they grow up.
Cassidy has finally made a decision on her ELMO chair. After 3 weeks of looking at it and touching it to make him giggle, she finally has decided it is safe to sit in. She doesn't stay very long but understands he giggles only when you sit down, so she gets up\down mulitple times in one sitting.














Cassidy had her first sleepover on Friday night. She slept over with Aunty Leeny & Grandma Pat. She did wake up once during the night but Leeny was able to get her back to sleep without a bottle after an 1hr 15min. That is one trick we have not been able to pull off. She has fought me tooth and nail to get that bottle when she wakes in the middle of the night. Maybe we will have better luck next time, but for now she can just keep sleeping through the night. We missed her during her big night out, but because we had work & a wedding on Saturday our time with her was very limited anyway. We were certainly glad to have her back but we did enjoy our first real break from parenting. 

SUIT UP!!!!

Today I caught Cassidy with some of Aunty Leeny's makeup. Thankfully she didn't understand how to open the lipstick or perhaps I would have had some cleaning to do. On a side note, Cassidy had her 1yr MD visit yesterday. She weighed 21 lbs 10ozs and was 30 1\4 inches tall. She is in the 60% for weight & 90% for height. She had to get 3 shots and then they had to draw blood. It was by far the worst experience we have had. They couldn't find a vein in either arm so they had to do a fingerstick and then rub her finger to draw the blood out. When they finally finished they couldn't get her finger to stop bleeding. It was terrible for all of us, but only Cassie & Mommy left in tears, Daddy was very brave!!!

Apple Picking

Megan and I took the kids to pick apples today. It was a beautiful, warm fall day. Cassidy had a great time and but Brady seemed less interested, until of course it was time to eat the apples and see the pumpkins.

More Birthday Pics

Here are a few of the gifts Cassidy received for her birthday. Her very own "DORA the EXPLORER" backpack complete with the MAP, a little white netted tutu (part of a fairy princess costume) a white rocking chair from Gramma Pat, ELMO TMX (10th anniv Tickle me Elmo), and a big bag full of clothes.

Cassidy's 1st Birthday Party

Here are some pictures of Cassie's first birthday party. She was completely overwhelmed by the number of people in her house. She was whiney for most of the day, only settling down once most of the crowd left. She got a lot of nice clothes for her birthday, which was just what she needed!! We had a 3 week stretch where the same few outfits were being recycled twice a week, we were just trying to make it til her birthday!Tomorrow I'll post some more pictures with some of the other things she got from her party.
