The Zoo

Daycare is on vacation this week so today Momma & Cass had a very special day. We went to Southwick's Zoo www.southwickszoo.com. We had a great time, even though the temp was in the low 90's. Cassidy spent almost the entire trip in her carriage and the zoo is mostly shade so all in all it really wasn't too bad. We saw many different types of animals including, lions, rhinos, chimps, elephants and many different monkeys and birds. They have a deer forest that you can walk through and the deer come right up to you and will even eat from you hand. I thought Cass might be afraid but she laughed like crazy when they were licking her hand. One of them stole her chicken tender right out of her tray. By the time we got back to the car she was beat. It took less than 5 minutes of cool air conditioning to knock her out.

Happy Mother's Day

Cassidy has had the most happy week. Ever since she got over the loss of her "mimi" she has been so talkative and happy. I have really noticed a difference in her overall attitude. It has been great!! The weather here has finally been nice to have a consistant string of outdoor days. Of course, with that comes dirty daycare girl. When she is home with momma she looks like the little girl in the first picture. When she comes home from Mary's she most often resembles the dirty bird in the other pictures. This was taken on by far her dirtiest day ever. She left the house in a cute pink capri set and came running to greet me in just her onesie and blue pants, and a whole lot of dirt everywhere. She really loves to go to Mary's and to play with the other kids.

Success!! We have broken Cassidy of her binky. We had a few tough nights, but today marks one week without her "mimi'. The hardest part was hearing her call out for it. If we ever have to break another child from a pacifier, we'll make sure to do it before they have a name for it. She seems to be talking alot more since her mouth is empty. I feel really good about the whole thing, but still it was heartbreaking hearing her cry at night when she never cried before. I can only imagine what it would be like if she was 3yrs old!!! More pictures to post later on today or tomorrow. Promise!
