So Big.....

Cassidy is so much fun to be around these days. Her expressions are wonderful. She has not said her first word yet (aside from DA DA), but I think she has come close a few times to KITTY. Of course when you have 2 kitties in the house it is a good chance of being her first word. Here is a picture of her sharing her 1st munckin with Sissy. She is able to walk with a push behind toy now, usually about 10-15 steps at a time. Also, I am trying to give her some practice by only holding one hand while she walks around. She is making good progress, her legs seem stronger everyday! Last week we were playing at Aunty Meg's house and she has not put up her baby gates yet. Instead we discovered Cass has a fear of a small plastic dog figurine, actually there were 3 all together. We placed them in areas we did not want her to leave and for some reason she was afraid to crawl by them, and to think I spent $10 on each gate for the house! Oh ya, Cassidy cannot wait for football season to start, I caught her warming up her arm.

What's Going On??....

Here's whats new with us:
1) Cassidy has a new friend, Pooh. She has just started snuggling him whenever she sees him. She lays down on him as if he were a pillow.
2) Cassidy has a virus. It started on Friday at the Holy Cross employee picnic. She wasn't her joyful self. It continued into Friday night and after 3 unsuccesful attempts at bedtime & alot of terrible crying we called the MD @ 11pm, they told us to give her some Benadryl and call in the am for an appt. Thankfully the Benadryl worked and we were all able to get some sleep. Saturday she woke up with a small rash and the MD said she had a red, sore throat. She is much better now, the rash is fading and so are her painful cries.
3) The cats are becoming a little more tolerant of Cassie. They still run away, but they give her a chance to touch them first.
Nou much else to report here. Daycare is on vacation this week so Cassie and Mommy are getting some extra time on Monday & Thursday this week. No big plans however.

August 3rd

We have settled back into the swing of things. The heat is really awful so we have been sticking close to home (central air). Not too much activity to report. A few pictures of our adventures in the kiddie pool, sleeping with her favorite friend and her new sneaks:
The first time we tried those Nikes on she would not stand on her feet, she kept her legs from touching the ground. Sooner or later she will have to get used to them. Cassidy now (finally) says Momma, but usually only when she is crying, but hey she has to start somewhere!!!
