What We've Been Up To........

Ok, so this will be the short version:
The last week of March & the 1st week of April Cassidy was sick as can be. The usual runny nose, coughing sleepless nights that we have come to expect during the winter months. The 2nd week of April we were gearing up for Bob's 40th birthday and he got news that a friend of his was in a terrible kayaking accident and was now on a ventilator and fighting for his life. That very day Bob was in a car accident only 30 seconds from the house and totaled his car. He suffered no broken bones, but did have a concussion that left him foggy for 4 days and is continuing to suffer from headaches and a sore back. He had tickets to the RED SOX opening day and was telling me in the ER, while in a neck brace and on a backboard, that he was still going. Well of course he tried to go but left after only a few innings and made the trip back home, nauseous, dizzy and with a headache. The following week I had a surprise trip to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame planned and now that was in jeopardy. After reassurance from his lawyer it would be ok for us to make the trip, we dropped Cassidy at Aunty Meg's house on Wednesday (and promised to pick her up on Friday) and headed out on the 3 1\2 hour trip. Needless to say it was nice to be away from everyday life, but we missed Cassidy. That and the fact his back severely limited the things we could do. Long car ride+ walking doesn't equal good times. Although, that being said, the museum itself was a sight to see. It really had some great artifacts and to see all of those things in 1 area was very awe inspiring. Which leads us up to this week. We landed at the ER again on Wednesday (after a nice trip to the Roger Williams Zoo) because Bob had a huge kidney stone flareup. Having seen these before I can honestly say this was the worst episode ever, resulting in him unable to sit still and moaning and grimacing in pain for a solid 4 hrs. We left the hospital at 230am without passing the stones, only having the pain under control. After a few quiet days the stones acted up again tonight, but we have not had to return to the hospital as of this point (knock on wood). I will post some more pictures tomorrow.
