Rice Cereal Is Yummy
Cassie had rice cereal for the 1st time tonight. She really seemed to enjoy it, she finished the whole serving. She only grabbed my hand & the spoon 4 times (she caught me off guard). We gave it to her at 6:15pm, which often seems to be a fussy time for her because it is getting close to bedtime, but not quite late enough for her final bottle. I think we will try it at this time for the upcoming week and see if her sleeping habits change.
Stylish Baby
Aunty Leeny got Cassie this adorable outfit from BABY GAP, off of Ebay.com. The vest is still a little big for her but she really looks like a big girl when she wears it. Her hair seems to be getting much lighter (see close up). She probably will have a similar hair color to mine. Uncle Chris taught her how to blow raspberries on Saturday. She continues to practice everyday and most of the time can make the noise but she usually spits more than anything. She also has found her feet and with the help of some "rattlesocks" will continue to play with them.
Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day. Today we went for Cassie's 4 month physical. She weighed in at 14lbs & 14ozs (75%) and was 25.5 inches (90%) and her giant melon head measured in at 17 inches (90%). We thought for sure her head would be off the charts, but I guess we were wrong!! She did get her2nd round of vaccinations today (3 shots), she cried really loud for 1 minute and then I fed her and she fell asleep in the car on the way home. As you can see she is wearing her cute V-Day outfit, compliments of my pal Kristen. Obviously we took these pictures before we went to the MD.
Latest Adventures
Cassie is still trying to shake her cold. Her runny nose has dried up again but her cough and congestion are still lingering. That has not dampened her spirits at all, she is such a good natured baby she is almost always smiling. We took her to the mall on Wednesday and it was so exciting to watch her looking at everything around her. She is finally big enough that she can sit in her stroller like a big girl, without the carseat attachment. It was just her and her bunny cruising around the mall, she had a blast. We gave her 1st teether and her 1st french fry earlier this week. I don't think she cared much for either one of them. She also got a new piglet hat, isn't it soooo cute? We are going back to the MD for her 4month check up on Tuesday. I can't wait to see how big she has gotten since the last visit.
Superbowl XL
Today is Cassidy's first Superbowl. We are just taking it easy tonight. No big parties for us. She made it all the way to halftime. If she is as big a football fan as her mommy and daddy she will definitely want to have some pics from the big day.
Me and My Friend, Bunny
Cassidy has found a new friend. Her little care bear has been replaced by this cute bunny. More or less she just likes to chew or suck on his ears, arms and feet. Sometimes if we hold bunny out in front she grabs him and pulls it right to her mouth. She also has these adorable bunny slippers which seem to stay on her feet much better than regular old socks.
